Cinematic sci-fi thriller style, high tension, slow-burn atmosphere. Starts medium close-up on Doctor Elias Thorne, a weathered older human male with a salt-and-pepper beard and deep-set, tired eyes, wearing a red twok uniform with black pants with white collar and white clasp and black piping on one side and black belt and with the uniform jacket and black piping extending below the belt. His face is sculpted by harsh, flickering greenish light from a malfunctioning bio-scanner screen held in his trembling hand. He is staring at the readout with a look of slowly dawning terror. The camera slowly pushes in on his sweating brow as the low thrum of the ship's engines vibrates through the silence. He whispers the exact words "Your neural pathways... they're rewriting themselves." Lying rigid on the dimly lit bio-bed beneath him is Lieutenant Xylar, a striking woman with pearlescent, faintly scaled skin and severe, dark violet hair pulled back tight, also wearing a red twok uniform with black pants with white collar and white clasp and black piping on one side and black belt and with the uniform jacket and black piping extending below the belt. Her eyes are fixed steadily on the ceiling, unblinking. A slow, deliberate rack focus shifts sharply from Thorne’s horrified profile down to Xylar’s hand resting on the sterile covering. The skin on her knuckles is splitting to reveal sleek, chrome sub-dermal plating underneath. She states calmly, without emotion, the exact words "The integration is ahead of schedule, Doctor." High contrast lighting, deep shadows obscuring the corners of the sickbay, horizontal anamorphic lens flare from medical monitors, subtle film grain, photorealistic 8k texture, Unreal Engine 5 render.
