A minimalist fine-art black ink illustration on a vast pure white background, with the composition positioned very low near the bottom edge, leaving approximately 70–80% of the upper canvas completely empty and silent.

At the bottom center lies a serene zebra partially submerged in an ambiguous field of black-and-white forms, its head and upper face emerging subtly from the darkness. The zebra is calm and motionless, eyes gently closed, with a peaceful, almost meditative expression.

The zebra’s distinctive black-and-white stripes gradually dissolve into wide horizontal concentric ripples, so that its body, stripes, mane, and surrounding water become visually inseparable. The stripes should stretch and flow outward from the animal like ripples spreading across perfectly still water.

The zebra's mane should not behave like ordinary hair. Instead, it should spread horizontally in layered, undulating bands, merging seamlessly with the water-like patterns. Some stripes should transform into thin wave lines, while other areas become solid black shapes. The viewer should be unable to immediately determine where the zebra ends and the water begins.

Use only absolute black ink and untouched white paper — no gray, no color, no gradients, no realistic shading. All depth and movement must come from the relationship between solid black shapes and precise white negative space.

The dark zebra mass should feel like a black stone dropped into perfectly still water, with its striped patterns creating slow outward waves. The image should suggest that the zebra is either floating peacefully on water, dissolving into the surface, or transforming into ripples.

Include one extremely thin isolated black stripe or mane strand trailing downward from the main composition, like the final ripple fading into silence.

Composition: extremely low placement, enormous white negative space above, centered horizontal balance, subtle asymmetry, generous breathing room, no border, no frame.

Style: sophisticated contemporary fine-line ink drawing, minimalist Japanese-inspired ink illustration, editorial fine art, precise brushwork, surrealist simplicity, high contrast, elegant negative space, handmade paper aesthetic.

Mood: silent, mysterious, contemplative, peaceful, weightless, dreamlike, meditative.

Critical visual idea: the zebra must remain recognizable, but its stripes must simultaneously resemble water ripples. The viewer should question whether they are looking at a zebra, a reflection, flowing water, or a dark abstract landscape.

Avoid: photorealistic zebra, safari scenery, grass, trees, mountains, dramatic waves, drowning imagery, horror, cartoon style, decorative patterns, gray wash, color, text, typography, shadows, or background scenery.
